Safety Culture

At CLS safety is our top priority. To ensure the protection of our employees, our clients, the public and the environment, safety is paramount in guiding all our actions and decisions.

CLS fosters a strong safety program by providing a safe and healthful working environment for all employees. All activities are conducted using reasonable precautions to protect employees, the public, clients and the environment, to minimize the dangers to life, safety and property.

All our employees strive to achieve quality in their work and to carry out this work in a safe and responsible manner in accordance with quality management system requirements.

A safety culture is "the way we do things around here." It includes shared practices, attitudes and perceptions that influence behavior. Workplace culture is influenced by many things, including leadership, management and supervision styles, workplace conditions and design logistics. Improving our safety culture involves clearly demonstrating a high priority on preventing injuries, minimizing risks, solving occupational health and safety incidents, engaging the workforce in health and safety, and continual improvement.

We monitor activities to understand our safety culture and to make improvements. Monitoring may consist of subjective assessments such as workplace observations and employee surveys, or objective assessments such as trending analysis on leading and lagging indicators, compliance safety audits, and site risk assessments.
