X-ray Diffraction Beamlines

BXDS - Brockhouse Diffraction Sector

BXDS is a suite of three beamlines providing a wide range of complementary diffraction and scattering techniques to characterize the structure of materials.

CMCF - Canadian Macromolecular Crystallography Facility

CMCF is an umbrella facility which operates two beamlines, CMCF-ID and CMCF-BM, at the Canadian Light Source. Together, both beamlines enable high-resolution structural studies of proteins, nucleic acids and other macromolecules, satisfying the requirements of the most challenging and diverse crystallographic experiments.

REIXS - Resonant Elastic and Inelastic X-ray Scattering

A state-of-the-art soft X-ray scattering facility featuring high flux, high resolution and full polarization control. Suitable for studying novel and advanced quantum materials, including strongly correlated electron systems, spintronic materials, high Tc superconductor, nano-scale biomaterials, and more.

VESPERS - Very Sensitive Elemental and Structural Probe Employing Radiation from a Synchrotron

VESPERS is a hard X-ray microprobe beamline capable of providing a high level of complementary structural and analytical information.
