Stroke is a leading cause of death in Canada. Dr. Jake Pushie's team at the University of Saskatchewan is examining risk factors for bleeding in the brain after stroke. The team is using our Mid-IR beamline to study the effects of stroke using non-destructive imaging techniques. They hope to improve outcomes for patients and identify if there are individuals who are particularly vulnerable.
